BetKing, Nigeria’s leading sports betting and digital entertainment brand under KingMakers, is pleased to announce the renewal of its official partnership with Ikorodu City Football Club for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. This renewal marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between both organisations, underscoring a shared commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and the growth of Nigerian football.

Since the partnership commenced in 2023, Ikorodu City FC, affectionately known as the Oga Boys, has made impressive strides, earning promotion to the NPFL in 2024 and finishing an admirable fourth place in their debut 2024/25 campaign. Their season was particularly memorable, highlighted by a record-breaking 6–0 victory over Katsina United, one of the most dominant results in NPFL history.

BetKing’s support for Nigerian sports extends well beyond football. The company has recently commissioned a modern mini sports complex at Ifako Ijaiye, which is already benefiting over 400,000 community members, including those from neighbouring areas. Additionally, BetKing provided support for para-athletics at the recently concluded National Sports Festival in Ogun State, organised the BetKing Wheelchair Basketball Championship, and partnered with the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria. These initiatives reflect BetKing’s commitment to grassroots sports and inclusivity across the country.

Speaking on the renewed partnership, Gossy Ukanwoke, Managing Director of KingMakers and CEO of BetKing, stated: “Our renewed partnership with Ikorodu City FC reflects our commitment to empowering young talent and strengthening Africa’s position as a global sports powerhouse. At KingMakers and BetKing, we believe the future of sports begins with grassroots investment, which is why we built and commissioned a mini stadium at Ifako Ijaiye earlier this year to provide youth and communities with a modern space to play, train, and dream.

“Beyond infrastructure, our support for initiatives such as Paralympians demonstrates our dedication to building an inclusive sports ecosystem that creates pride, opportunity, and lasting impact across Nigeria and the continent,” he added.

Ikorodu City FC Chairman, Sanmi Doherty, remarked: “BetKing has been more than a sponsor—they have been a catalyst for our vision. From promotion to a top-four NPFL finish and one of the most dominant results in the league, their support has been transformational. We look forward to building on this momentum together.”
