Wikki Tourists head coach Abdu Maikaba has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his players against Plateau United, as reported by DAILY POST.
The Bauchi Elephants won the matchday one encounter played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium by a lone goal, with new signing Louis Dadong scoring the winning strike four minutes before the break.
Maikaba stated that his team could have scored more goals in the keenly contested match.
“I’m happy with the result and the performance of my players. The scoreline could have been different but for some tactical lapses,” Maikaba told the club’s media.
“I believe we will go far when the team fully gels, as some players have only been with us for ten days.”
Wikki Tourists will face Kano Pillars in their next game.
