NYP Inspects Projects In Katsina, Passes Vote of Confidence On Radda

The Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) has conducted an extensive tour of major development projects executed by the Katsina State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, PhD.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Zakari Idris, led a high-powered delegation comprising over 100 parliamentarians representing the 36 states of the federation and the FCT. The team inspected the Agricultural Mechanisation Centre, the newly constructed Dialysis Centre, road networks, flyovers, and several other transformative projects across the state.

It will be recalled that Governor Radda recently approved the hosting of the Second Plenary Sitting of the Nigerian Youth Parliament in Katsina State, scheduled to hold from 30th November to 4th December 2025.

Speaking during the inspection tour, the Speaker commended Governor Radda for what he described as “giant strides” in infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare. He noted that the Agricultural Mechanisation Centre alone houses over 400 tractors and thousands of solar water pumps—one of the largest collections in the country. The delegation was conducted round the facility by the Director of Mechanisation, Engr. Yusuf Ibrahim.

The parliamentarians also visited the state-of-the-art Dialysis Centre at the General Amadi Rimi Orthopaedics and Specialist Hospital, which was fully constructed and equipped under the administration of Governor Radda. The team received a comprehensive briefing and tour of the facility from the Centre Lead.

The inspection tour is part of the Parliament’s activities carried out during the plenary session in Katsina, aimed at assessing developmental impact and strengthening youth engagement in governance. Following the tour, the delegation expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done and passed a vote of confidence on Governor Radda for his commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
