A student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Subair Enitan, who embarked on a handwashing marathon to set a new Guinness World Record, has denied reports alleging she landed in a hospital.
In a video posted via the official X handle for the marathon, Enitan thanked her School, supporters and sponsors while clarifying that she did not end up in the hospital.
“First of all, I’m sure you can see I’m very much okay. So to the people trending saying I landed in the hospital. I didn’t land in the hospital and these are my hands. I am better. I’ve been in my house with family members, my team members. I’ve been sleeping. I woke up this evening to take pictures. I have been very fine. Just dey play o. Nothing is wrong with me.”
Enitan commenced the marathon on Friday, 24 November and surpassed her initial plan of 50 hours by washing for 58 hours.
The Guinness World Record is yet to confirm Enitan’s record-breaking attempt.
