Obi Commits To Tackle Insecurity, Create Jobs

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has assured to end all forms of insecurity in Imo State, if voted into power come, 2023.

Obi made this known when he addressed the crowd during his presidential rally held at Kanu Nwankwo Sports Arena Owerri, the capital of lmo State.

Obi who stormed Owerri with his wife and his vice presidential candidate among others, assured that under his command as the president of Nigeria, Imo State will be secured.

While urging the people of the state to continue to support and vote for LP, he vowed to change the nation to become a country where people will have jobs and where young people with energy will be part of governance.

Obi promised to end the recurring strikes in the Nigerian education system adding that his government would serve with the students.

He said, “My government will sit down with lecturers and negotiate, so that anything that has to do with strike is completely eradicated.”

He identified education and health as the only way to know a developed country and non-developed country, while assuring that his administration will invest in education to move the nation forward.

He reminded supporters that he has not come to the state for fake promises while assuring that Imo State will surely export both palm oil and cassava by the time he is elected president of the country.

In his speech, the vice presidential candidate of Labour Party, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed said that this is the right time for Peter Obi to be president of the country. He stressed that Nigeria will move from consumption to production economy, adding that Nigeria must win the war by bringing power to where power is desired. He appealed to the people of Imo State to vote for Labour Party all the way to ensure victory in the end.
