Nigerian sprint sensation Blessing Ogundiran delivered a stunning performance to claim victory in the women’s 100 metres at the South Florida Invitational, clocking a sensational world-leading time of 10.98 seconds.

The remarkable run not only secured top spot on the podium but also saw Ogundiran shatter her previous personal best, underlining her rapid rise in the global sprinting scene.

Her time now stands as the joint fastest in the world this season, placing her firmly among the leading contenders ahead of major international competitions.

In addition to her victory, Ogundiran set a new NAIA women’s 100m record, further cementing her status as one of the most exciting prospects in collegiate athletics.

Fellow Nigerian Ese Awusa also delivered an impressive showing, finishing second overall with a time of 11.40 seconds. Her performance added to a strong Nigerian presence at the meet and highlighted the country’s growing depth in women’s sprinting.
