Oluremi Tinubu Launches Food Outreach Programme In Zamfara

Wife of Nigeria’s president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday evening flagged off Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Program Food Outreach in Zamfara State targeting over 1000 families of the less privileged.

Speaking at the flagged off, Hajiya Nana Shettima, who represented Senator Oluremi Tinubu, said the food outreach scheme under the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Forum was launched in March 2024 to provide food for the vulnerable groups in order to support their families.

According to her, the act of kindness has been made possible through the generous support of two donors who have committed to supplying two truckloads of food items to Renew Hope Initiative every month.

“We have successfully distributed food items to 24 states, including the Federal Capital Territory by the grace of God, River State will be the next beneficiary of this growing initiative. Our goal in Our Renewed Hope Initiative, is to complete the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Administration goals.

“We plan to launch more economic empowerment programmes later this year, and are supporting women and children, as well as the elderly persons with disabilities across the country. By the grace of God, we will launch the National
project in Borno State later this month. In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and the Bank of Agriculture,” she said.

Earlier, Zamfara State governor Dr. Dauda Lawal, who thanked the wife of the president for her initiative maintained that Zamfara State will continue to support women development at all levels for a better Nigeria.

Also speaking, Zamfara State First Lady, Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal said, ” I commend her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu for this laudable initiative, which continues to bring relief and hope to countless families across the nation. I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to Her Excellency Hajia Nana Shettima wife of the Vice President who is ably representing.

“Your presence is a clear reflection of the impact and success of the Renewed Hope Initiative in transforming lives. I also wish to especially appreciate all members of the Renewed Hope Initiative for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians.

“Your Excellencies, we are very grateful. At this juncture, I wish to express my deep appreciation to my dear husband, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfora State, for his firm support, visionary leadership, and steadfast commitment to the welfare of our people,” Hajia Dauda said.
