Nigerian beauty queen Oma Osele has claimed the Miss Continental World 2026 crown, capping a successful international campaign with two special awards recognising her cultural representation and continental standing.
The 28-year-old medical laboratory scientist, entrepreneur and model from Lagos secured the title at the pageant’s grand finale in Ayutthaya, Thailand. She had earlier earned the Queen of Africa award as the highest-placing African contestant and won Best National Attire for her cultural costume.
Osele represented Nigeria after winning EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025. Her rise in the competition had gathered momentum in September, when she received the World Premiere Award after topping the global fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform. She finished ahead of India’s Monica Konjengbam and Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju, earning a media package that included social media promotion and an AP News press release.
India’s Shreeya Panda was named first runner-up in the main competition.
Nigeria also recorded a strong result in the male contest, with Unwana Sambo Essien finishing third runner-up at Mister Continental World 2026. He additionally won the King of Kings title and the male category’s Best National Attire award.
