In 2019, visionary entrepreneur and tech innovator Omoikhefe Aienloshan received recognition as one of the beneficiaries of the Edo Startup Fund (EDSUF), an initiative by Governor Godwin Obaseki to empower local entrepreneurs and foster economic growth in Edo State. Aienloshan’s groundbreaking company, Gasnownow, was one of the companies awarded in the 10 million grant to expand its clean energy technology solutions and further revolutionize access to sustainable energy for underserved communities.

This recognition highlights Aienloshan’s tireless commitment to innovation, sustainability, and social impact. From his work in energy and technology to his leadership roles in youth empowerment initiatives, Aienloshan’s journey showcases a legacy of excellence and a passion for driving meaningful change.

A Trailblazer in Clean Energy

Aienloshan’s venture, Gasnownow, has transformed energy access in Nigeria through the integration of cutting-edge technology. By leveraging smart metering, IoT, and AI, the company ensures low- and middle-income households have access to affordable and sustainable cooking gas, reducing dependency on harmful traditional fuels.

Speaking on the grant, Aienloshan remarked: “Receiving the EDSUF grant is not just a recognition of Gasnownow’s impact but also a call to expand our reach and continue empowering communities. We are determined to lead the way in clean energy solutions.”

The grant, presented during a ceremony at the South-South Innovation Hub in Benin City, underscores the Edo State government’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability among local entrepreneurs.

Beyond his achievements in energy, Aienloshan has also been a driving force in youth empowerment and global innovation. As a former Hult Prize Campus Director in San Francisco, he played a pivotal role in mentoring student entrepreneurs, fostering creativity, and inspiring future leaders. This further gave him a social impact scholarship award at Hult international business school as part payment for his Masters in Business analytics.

This leadership position reflects his ability to merge global opportunities with local initiatives, enabling young minds to solve critical challenges. Under his guidance, participants in the Hult Prize competition gained valuable skills and resources to build impactful startups.

Expanding a Legacy of Innovation

Since receiving the EDSUF grant, Aienloshan has remained focused on scaling Gasnownow’s operations while exploring opportunities to integrate electric mobility and AI-driven energy management systems. His vision extends beyond clean energy, encompassing innovative solutions in cybersecurity through his latest venture, ZeroEdge, and AI-powered real estate management with Landify.

For Aienloshan, the EDSUF grant is part of a larger narrative of using innovation to empower people and address critical societal needs. “Innovation isn’t just about technology,” he explains. “It’s about creating solutions that transform lives and leave a lasting impact.”

Empowering Future Generations

As a mentor and advocate for youth empowerment, Aienloshan continues to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Through programs like the Hult Prize and his leadership in initiatives like Eden Nigeria, CFI, he has impacted thousands of young people across Nigeria, equipping them with the tools to lead and innovate.

“The key to sustainable progress lies in empowering young minds,” he says. “By equipping them with the right resources and opportunities, we can shape a future driven by innovation and inclusivity.”

A Vision for the Future

With his ventures gaining momentum and a track record of driving impactful change, Aienloshan’s goals remain ambitious. From expanding clean energy access to fostering technological resilience through cybersecurity, he is committed to addressing global challenges with local solutions.

Reflecting on his journey, he states: “Success is measured not just by personal achievements but by the lives we touch and the legacy we leave behind. For me, it’s about creating value and empowering others to thrive.”

As Aienloshan looks ahead, his work continues to inspire, innovate, and uplift. His story serves as a testament to the transformative power of purpose-driven leadership and the potential of technology to change the world.
