The Movement in a statement yesterday signed by the chairman, OCM, Shalom Olaseni, made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja lauded Akeredolu’s indomitable spirit and commitment to the well-being of citizens, particularly through the visionary Amotekun initiative.

“The passing of governor Rotimi Akeredolu leaves a profound void in our hearts. His legacy is not merely a chapter in history but a testament to resilience,” Olaseni said.

Reflecting on Akeredolu’s leadership, Olaseni stressed the importance of standing in solidarity during this time of grief, promising to uphold the ideals and principles championed by the late governor.

“While mourning a political titan, we congratulate governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on assuming leadership. We urge him to lead with courage, fairness, and a commitment to good governance,” stated Olaseni.

He also called on Aiyedatiwa to carefully select a capable cabinet and promptly nominate a deputy governor, addressing the leadership vacuum left by health challenges and political rifts.
