Ooni Set To Host Africa Fashion Week

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, on Thursday said he has concluded arrangementsĀ  to host other top dignitaries at the closing ceremony of the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria.

The event that would holdĀ  in Lagos according to a statement by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Otunba Moses Olafare, was founded as a sister event to Africa Fashion Week London.

The Arole Oduduwa will alongside the wife of Kwara State, Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq host other dignitaries to a warm closing session of the event where over 60 designers will be showcasing their works.

The festival just like the African Fashion in the UK will be anchored by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi who doubles as CEO of the Adire Oodua Textile Industry.

ā€œThis edition will dovetail into the 12th Edition of Africa Fashion week London taking place on the 7th and 8th of October in celebration of Black history month and the theme is ā€œxperiencing the Adire Cultureā€

ā€œAn Adire Pavillion sponsored by Eco Bank will be declared open by Oba Ogunwusi, the custodian of cultures and traditions at the event.

ā€œAlso the president of Fadan will be leading a collective of Fadan Designers and mix of designer brands from other African countries such as Nivaldo Thierry from Mozambique, Yaws Creations from The Gambia.ā€
