Opponents Of Southern Presidency Against Nigeria’s Progress – Ohanaeze Chieftain

One of the leaders of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro yesterday claimed that people who are against the realization of Southern presidency do not mean well for the unity, progress and development of Nigeria.

Isiguzoro also urged electorates and people of goodwill to support the arrangement by patriotic Nigerians of a rotational presidency between North and South ahead of the 2023 presidential election in the country.

Mazi Isiguzoro who is the secretary-general of a faction of the organisation noted that the arrangement as enshrined in the consciousness of Nigerians would ensure that equity, inclusiveness, national peace and stability of the country is achieved.

He said anyone or political party that is not disposed to the arrangement does not mean well for Nigeria insisting that it is the turn of a Southern presidency.

Isiguzoro maintained that any attempts by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP to ride on ethnicity and religious predispositions to get power will plunge Nigeria into the abyss of putrefaction and disintegration.

He expressed regret on the level of filth and rots uncovered by Nigerians in the crisis in PDP adding that it has become obvious that the opposition, PDP does not mean well for the future and development of Nigeria.

Isiguzoro also said that “Atiku Abubakar’s desperation is not healthy for the northern region as the North has seen total neglect, poverty and insecurity whenever a northerner is at the helm of the affairs of the country”.

He said Atiku and PDP hope of cruising to power with the cards of ethnicity and religion has been dashed based on the fact that President Buhari’s scorecard as a northerner didn’t favor the region, rather, it worsened the insecurity challenges facing the north.
