Managing director and chief executive officer of Denca Services Limited, High Chief Dennis Osadebe Okafor, and the chairman/CEO of Migfo Nigeria Ltd, Chief Mike Nwaukoni, have been nominated for the Kwame Nkrumah Outstanding Leadership and Development Award.

The conferment is scheduled for March 16, 2024 in Lagos, organised by the Kwame Nkrumah Movement in partnership with its Nigerian representative, Monarch International Magazine.

Ahead of the event, the editor-in-chief of Monarch International Magazine in a statement shared with journalists, Dr Felix Okonkwo, described the process leading to the choice of Osadebe and Mike for the award as rigorous and deserving, noting that it took them a whole year to finalize.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Award was instituted in 1997 by WASU to immortalise the iconic leader and to serve as inspiration for African leaders in exemplary leadership.

Okonkwo described awardees as champions and worthy achievers who have contributed tremendously to public service in Nigeria.

“These distinguished personalities have revealed their potentials in the maritime industry and are icons championing the industry at home and internationally.
