Adding to the chorus of accolades, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, Special Adviser on Media to Minister Umahi, praised his principal on his birthday. Describing him as a transformative leader and innovative achiever, Orji highlighted Umahi’s exemplary leadership in public service.

“Honesty, you radiate brilliance, statesmanship, purposefulness, and an admirable sense of responsibility in every field of your endeavours,” Orji stated. He praised Umahi’s tenure as a state party chairman, deputy governor, and eventually Ebonyi State governor for eight years, noting his transformative impact on the state and its people.

Orji further acknowledged Umahi’s significant contributions to the federal level, including his role as Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th Senate and Chairman of the Integrity Group, which anchored the emergence of the current Senate’s leadership. He emphasised Umahi’s swift and effective work as Minister of Works, where he has already introduced policy innovations and recorded notable achievements.

“I am particularly thrilled by the zeal and passion with which you drive the road infrastructure development goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Orji said.

Highlighting major projects such as the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the 1,000km Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, he praised Umahi’s contributions to the nation’s infrastructural rebirth.

David Umahi’s legacy is one of transformation and innovation, both in Ebonyi State and at the national level. His leadership continues to inspire not only his son but also the broader community, positioning him as a beacon of hope and progress in Nigeria.
