Football commentator, Levent Tüzemen has claimed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has convinced his international teammate Ademola Lookman to join him at Galatasaray.

Tüzemen spoke while evaluating Galatasaray’s agenda on the A Spor YouTube channel ahead of the January transfer window.

Galatasaray has been heavily linked with a move to sign Lookman from Atalanta.

Lookman failed to leave Atalanta during the last summer transfer window after the Serie A club refused to let him leave.

The 28-year-old went on strike as a result, but was later reintegrated back to the Atalanta first team.

“Galatasaray has a serious interest in Lookman,” Tüzemen said as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

“Osimhen is the biggest supporter in this transfer. Victor Osimhen convinced Lookman to come to Galatasaray.

“Galatasaray needs to convince Atalanta. If Galatasaray signs Lookman, it would make a significant difference. Atalanta’s asking price is significant. €40-50 million is being discussed.”
