Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is scheduled to undergo medical examinations with the Serie A club in preparation for the upcoming pre-season.
The 26-year-old Nigerian forward is anticipated to depart from the former Italian champions on a permanent basis this summer. However, as of now, Osimhen has not accepted any offers from prospective clubs.
In recent weeks, the Super Eagles star has turned down multiple proposals from Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal. His preference is to continue his career in Europe, having enjoyed a successful loan spell at Galatasaray last season, where he netted an impressive 37 goals and contributed eight assists, aiding the Turkish outfit in securing both the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
According to reports from Le Marca Sports, Napoli intends to call upon Osimhen for their pre-season preparations. Prior to this, he will undergo a medical assessment at the club between 14-15 July, a standard procedure for most teams ahead of the new season.
Should no transfer materialise before then, Osimhen is set to feature in pre-season fixtures for Napoli.
