Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Super Eagles star striker Victor Osimhen is close to securing a move away from Naples, with his preferred destination being the English Premier League.
According to the Italian journalist, despite no offers for the player in June, Napoli expects bids from EPL clubs, with Osimhen’s release clause set at €120 million.

Chelsea and Arsenal were initially interested in Osimhen at the start of the summer transfer window. However, reports indicate that Chelsea has withdrawn due to concerns about Osimhen’s injury record.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, known for their conservative spending, may find it challenging to meet the €120 million release clause. Their highest purchase to date was €116 million for Declan Rice in 2023, followed by Nicolas Pepe from Lille in 2019.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have reignited their pursuit of the Super Eagles striker to strengthen their squad following the departure of Anthony Martial, whose contract has expired.
