Osun College Of Technology Inaugurates Governing Council

Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke has inaugurated its Governing Council.

Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman of the council, Prince Diran Odeyemi charged newly sworn-in members of the council to be committed to the growth and development of the citadel of knowledge.

It would be recalled that Prince Diran Odeyemi was himself sworn in recently as the Chairman Governing Council of OSCOTECH, by the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke .

The chairman who heartily welcomed members onboard the institution Council, charged them to always remember tomorrow because all office holders must be conscious of time.

He urged them to be good ambassadors of their political party and the College. Prince Odeyemi promised that the Ninth Council will cooperate with the Management in ensuring that the College maintains its lead among other institutions in Nigeria.

Members of the Council include: Prince Taiwo Ayepola, Hon. Sikiru Adeleke, Hon. Shola Oni, Prince Micheal O. Aderibigbe, Mr. Adeyela Bashiru, Alhaja Modina Raimi, Alhaji Liadi Gbadamosi and Hon. Bimbo Olukitibi.

The Rector, Dr Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke who was flanked by other members of the Management, congratulated the Chairman and members of the newly Council noted with disdain a number of problems bedeviling the progress of Polytechnic Education.

He listed those problems to include poor funding and harsh/unfavorable regulatory policies laid down by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
