Osun Poly To Hold Combined Convocation Ceremony

The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, said they have concluded plans to hold the combined 8th convocation ceremony of the Polytechnic.

A statement made available by the registrar of the institution, Mr Abiodun Oloyede, disclosed that every machinery has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free convocation ceremony slated for Thursday, March 26.

According to him, there would be a novelty football match between the school staff and members of the alumni association on Tuesday, March 24 while the convocation lecture is slated for Wednesday, March 25.

He disclosed that the convocation lecture will be delivered by Prof Yakibi Ayodele Afolabi of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) adding that the vice chancellor of University of Ilesa, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu will preside over the lecture.

The statement added that the rector’s cocktail party would later hold at the Staff Club of the institution while the convocation grand finale for the Award of Prizes, Diplomas and Certificates would hold on Thursday at the institution’s pavilion.

The registrar advised the graduands to promptly remit the convocation pack at the institution’s Bursary Department and proceed to Academic Affairs Unit for the collection of their convocation package from Friday, March 20.
