Two serving senators from Osun State, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi (Osun East) and Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central), have publicly reiterated their unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and pledged their continued support for his administration and re-election bid in 2027.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, the senators praised Tinubu for his impactful interventions in their respective senatorial districts and for demonstrating exceptional leadership since assuming office.
Senator Fadeyi said the president’s keen interest in Osun Central Senatorial District had not gone unnoticed, and the people of the zone remained deeply appreciative.
According to him, their renewed endorsement of Tinubu is “a reciprocal gesture” in recognition of the president’s strategic contributions to infrastructure and institutional development in Osun.
“Mr President has done so much for my constituency such that I cannot but support him,” Fadeyi said, “He gave us the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies in Iragbiji, the installation of TCN 300MVA Power Transformer at Osogbo Substation also the ongoing installation of 2x 60MVA substation in Ila-Orangun, and he graciously promised an upgrade of the Nigeria Police Training School in Ila-Orangun to a full-fledged Nigeria Police Academy to serve the South-West region. What else can we ask for?” he asked.
Fadeyi, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Environment, said the people of Osun Central would rally behind Tinubu in 2027, voting en-masse to ensure his victory at the polls.
On his part, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi commended the president for his approval of funds in the 2025 Appropriation Bill earmarked for the reconstruction of the Ibadan–Ilesa Expressway, a major transport corridor critical to economic activity in Osun State and gateway in the nation.
“The president’s commitment to the completion of this important road and the rehabilitation of other federal highways across Osun is commendable,” Fadahunsi added.
Senator Fadahunsi, who chairs the Senate Committee on Industries, also spoke glowingly of the president’s development agenda for Osun East.
He listed several federal institutions earmarked for the district, including the proposed Federal School of Nursing and other medical-related matters in Ijebu-Jesa, the Federal Orthopaedic Hospital in Obokun, and a Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Ile-Ife, initiatives the president pledged to support and approve.
“The president has shown genuine concern for the development of our senatorial zone, and we are optimistic that the delivery of these projects will significantly enhance healthcare access and economic activities in Osun East,” Fadahunsi stated.
According to the senators, an earlier visit to Aso Rock Villa was also used to deliver a goodwill message from Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to President Tinubu, further strengthening the communication bridge between the state and the federal government.
