Etta stated this through his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Ugana Lukpata, at the Northern Senatorial District stakeholders engagement held at Ogoja local government Council Headquarters yesterday.
He explained that the restoration of Cross River as an oil-producing state is courtesy of the synergy between the state and federal governments.
The Chairman disclosed that Cross River now has 46 oil wells in its coffers, with exploration and exploitation having commenced in earnest.
He described the development as a major economic breakthrough that will boost revenue, create jobs and accelerate development across the state.
Etta noted that the achievement would have been impossible without the commitment of Governor Otu and President Tinubu to repositioning Cross River.
He urged residents of Ogoja, Obanliku, Obudu, Yala and Bekwarra to support the continuity of the present administrations in 2027.
The stakeholders thereafter adopted a communiqué pledging total support for Otu and Tinubu and vowing to deliver five-over-five for APC in 2027.
