Our Friend Rakiya

Remember our friend Rakiya that I spoke of much earlier? When we got back from Dubai, she had come by to Altine’s boutique while I was there. She had come to buy (no, let me sound posh)… to procure some dresses and accessories for her five year old daughter, Farida. I happened to be there because I had just returned from a job interview and needed some morale support from Altine.

And yes, my parents didn’t think the job of a columnist was a job at all, infact eh my parents are trying to do either of two things right now since my return from holidays, either get me married or get me a job at Central Bank. But you know me, I’ve always had a mind of my own and would rather find that vacancy, go for an interview and get a job rather than get connected through my wealthy parents.
