The governor stated that as a state recovering from the effect of Boko Haram insurgency with many of its seasoned and experienced civil servants retiring, there is the need for more articulated policies that will guarantee a better future.

He said this among others inform the decision of his administration to prioritize training and retraining of both public and political office holders with a view to equip them with the techniques of managing government policies at all times.

“We are aware of our challenges especially on the mass exodus of experienced hands in the public and political arena. This is why we always tailored our appointments on the basis of shaping the future of the state in addition to articulating our development plans.

“The office of a Special Adviser can only be vibrant when there is a working connection with the grassroots to afford you credible inputs from you to advise from a well-informed perspective.”

Buni used the forum and charged the new appointees to key into his administration policy of promoting accountability, transparency and probity for better Yobe.

“As you may be aware, we have already developed an 11-point agenda to turn around the fortunes of the state in various fields of progress as well as the pedestal of development.
