Allied Conservative Congress (ACC) has expressed its desire for a new, better and prosperous Nigeria with conservative ideology, and promised to throw its presidential ticket open to all qualified, credible, visionary, purposeful and patriotic citizens from all the six geopolitical zones.

The party stated that it is only the presidential primary that will determine the flag bearer as there will be no zoning of the presidential ticket.

In a statement by the national chairman of ACC, Rev Olusegun Peters in Abuja, he said for now, ACC is building strong structures across the nation and mobilizing citizens to its fold as the foremost political movement with conservative ideology and strongly determined to rebuild trust in government and redirect the ship of the state from its perilous course to the path of rectitude, progress, development and advancement.

He said Nigerians need competent, reliable, trustworthy, resourceful and experienced leaders to pilot the affairs of the nation.

He assured fellow compatriots that it will field credible candidates in 2027, adding that it is time to save our beloved nation from imminent collapse, saying it is a task that must be done in the quest for sustainable development and democracy in Nigeria.

“Sadly, our dear country is at a crossroads in its democratic journey. There is confusion in government, hunger and anger in the land. It is time for action by all patriotic citizens, particularly governments at all levels in accordance with section 14(2)b of the 1999 constitution, as amended which provides that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.

“Nigerians are hungry and want the fruits of democracy to assuage their sufferings. ACC calls on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the needs of the people, subsidise the cost of foodstuffs, provide palliatives and social amenities that will improve people’s standards of living and boost economic growth.

“To achieve this, the president should set aside political and ethnic sentiments and patronage, and appoint well experienced Nigerians to handle critical national issues that will revamp the economy, ensure political stability and public order.

“The nation’s youths have expressed their anger, they should get ready for 2027 and speak with their votes as power resides in the people. Indeed, 2027 will be a litmus test of Nigerians’ political sagacity in electing credible, competent and God-fearing leaders.

They should be assured that ACC is with them in restoring the lost glory and prosperity of our dear country. Together, we will make it happen.”
