Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has described President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Taiwo Oyedele as minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy as “well-deserved,” citing his proven expertise in fiscal policy and economic reform amid Nigeria’s fiscal challenges.

In a statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Gyang Bere, Mutfwang praised Oyedele as an accomplished economist, seasoned accountant, and distinguished public policy expert whose leadership is repositioning the nation’s economy toward efficiency and sustainable development.

The governor commended President Tinubu for the choice, noting Oyedele’s remarkable track record in the global financial sector and his confidence that Oyedele will leverage his experience to strengthen Nigeria’s economy, especially for vulnerable citizens.

Mutfwang highlighted Oyedele’s impactful tenure as Minister of State for Finance, his role as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, and contributions to navigating complex economic issues through vision, competence, and diversification efforts.
