The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed excitement over the nomination of Chief Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, as Nigeria’s Minister of Power, describing the development as well-deserved and timely, given the country’s pressing need for sustained reforms in the energy sector.

The party in a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the state chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake, and the State Secretary, Hon. (Barr.) Fatai Adesina, expressed confidence in Tegbe’s capacity to deliver impactful leadership, citing his track record of excellence in both the private and public sectors.

The party noted that Tegbe’s nomination comes at a critical period in Nigeria’s development, where strategic direction and competent leadership are required to address longstanding challenges in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

“The APC in Oyo State is confident that Chief Tegbe will bring innovation, efficiency, and sustainable solutions to Nigeria’s power sector. His history of performance and commitment to service positions him to make meaningful contributions to national development,” the statement read.

While reaffirming its full support, the party also pledged to provide constructive engagement where necessary and encouraged continued collaboration between the minister-designate and party stakeholders.
