Chairman of the union, Comrade John Fabunmi in a letter title, “Notification of Industrial Action” issued in Ibadan, said the warning strike followed the expiration of 14 days ultimatum issued to the state government to attend to the union’s agitation.

According to Fabunmi, members of the union in health institutions, ministries, departments and local governments in the state are to proceed on the seven days warning strike as from 12:01 am, midnight on Monday 24th June, 2024.

The letter reads, “Sequel to our letter with Ref. No. OYSC/MHWUN/ADM/INDU.ACT/05/24 dated 27th May, 2024 on the above subject matter giving the State government a 14 day ultimatum to attend to all our grievances, we wish to draw the attention of Your Excellency to the fact that up till now, nothing has been done to assuage the present situation.
