PalmPay has reiterated its commitment to promoting cybersecurity and consumer protection as it supported the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) during its National Cybersecurity Awareness Walk held in Abuja.

The exercise, themed ‘Secure Our World,’ formed part of activities marking the 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Month and brought together key stakeholders from law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and the private sector to drive public education on cyber safety, financial fraud prevention, and secure online engagement.

Speaking at the event, PalmPay managing director, Chika Reginald Nwosu, commended the NPF-NCCC for its proactive role in combating cybercrime and promoting consumer protection.

“We commend the NPF-NCCC for its proactive leadership in driving cybersecurity awareness,

“At PalmPay, we are committed to supporting initiatives that promote digital safety and foster trust in Nigeria’s growing digital economy,” Nwosu said.

He emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration between financial technology firms, regulators, and security agencies to strengthen the country’s payment ecosystem and build public confidence in digital transactions.

PalmPay was recognised during the event for its ongoing contribution to strengthening regulatory engagement and advancing consumer protection initiatives across the fintech industry.
