Gas and Power company in sub-Saharan Africa, Axxela has reiterated the importance of strategic collaboration in driving industrial development and advancing Nigeria’s transition to a more sustainable energy future.
The company said partnerships across critical sectors remain key to expanding energy access, improving productivity, and supporting economic growth.
Speaking in Lagos yesterday, the executive vice president of Axxela Gas Distribution, Kehinde Alabi, stated that collaboration with key players is essential to powering industries and accelerating sustainable development across Nigeria and the wider region.
According to him, such partnerships will help unlock opportunities for industrial expansion while promoting cleaner and more reliable energy solutions.
“We recognise that collaboration with key players across diverse sectors is essential to powering industries and shaping a more sustainable future for Nigeria and the region,” Alabi said, noting that Axxela remains committed to working with stakeholders to deepen gas utilisation and support long-term economic development.
The firm said it has successfully onboarded new customers to its vast natural gas pipeline network, adding that the customer connections, spanning the manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceutical, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors, represent a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to deepen domestic gas utilisation and expand energy access across key economic clusters.
According to the company, the recent connections cut across critical industrial hubs and were facilitated by Gaslink Nigeria Limited (“Gaslink”), one of Axxela’s subsidiary companies. The new customers include Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Jawa International Limited, Solem Agro, and Abimbola Agro, among others. The company also said that through its growing infrastructure investment footprint, Axxela continues to play a pivotal role in unlocking the economic potential of natural gas by advancing domestic gas utilisation, enabling industrialisation, and supporting a sustainable energy transition in line with the federal government’s vision of a gas-powered economy.
