Party agents are currently buying votes house-to-house in Minna, the Niger State capital, LEADERSHIP can exclusively report.
They’re offering voters between N3000 and N5000 per vote.
The ongoing governorship and state assembly elections have been characterised by vote buying and low voter turnout in the State.
LEADERSHIP observed that areas like Borgu, Mokwa, Bida, Minna, and Suleja that witnessed large voter turnouts in past elections, have recorded low voter turnout in this exercise on Saturday.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Ahmed Garki, confirmed that there was low voter turnout but said the exercise was peaceful and orderly.
