The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has produced its House of Representatives candidates across Kogi State through consensus arrangements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A former member of the House of Representatives for Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulrahaman Badamasuiy, emerged as the PDP candidate for the constituency during the party’s primary election held on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Badamasuiy, who served in the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015, was affirmed by party delegates under a consensus arrangement.

Also emerging as candidates were Muhammed A. Etudaiye for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency and Hon. Lawal Idrisu, a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.

In Kogi West Senatorial District, Abdulkadir Ibrahim secured the PDP ticket for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, while Hon. Femi Victor Olubiyi emerged for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Hon. Ibigbemi Seun Samuel was also returned unopposed for Yagba Federal Constituency.

Similarly, in Kogi East, Barr. Abubakar Usman Yahaya emerged as the PDP candidate for Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency, while Hon. Okolo Ikani Benjamin, a former House of Representatives member and ex-chairman of Dekina Local Government Area, clinched the ticket for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency through affirmation.

For Idah Federal Constituency, former Idah Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Ukwenya Paul Ogwu, was also returned unopposed.

Speaking after his affirmation in Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area, Hon. Badamasuiy commended party members and delegates for conducting a peaceful exercise.

He pledged to leverage his legislative experience to deliver quality representation and attract development projects to the constituency.
