PDP Sets Up 20-member Caretaker Committee For Ekiti

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a 20-member caretaker committee for the Ekiti State chapter of the party.

The composition of the committee which has Chief Dare Adeleke as chairman follows the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee of the PDP in the state.

National publicity secretary of PDP, Hon Debo Ologungaba made this known through a statement in Abuja on Friday.

Ologungaba said the approval of the committee by the National Executive Committee (NEC) was “to run the affairs of the Ekiti State Chapter as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party’s Constitution for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months), or till a new Executive Committee is elected.”

Aside the chairman, Chief Adeleke, other members of the caretaker committee include Hon. Olatunji Dele Ayofe who will serve as the Secretary of the committee.

Others are Ayodele Joshua, Mr. Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mrs. Mojisola Omotosho, Hon. Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Hon. Ademola Alade, Hon. Afolayan Akutupu and Hon. Bobby Jeje.

The rest are Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel, Hon. Festus Idowu Akinbode, Hon. Ade Fajana, Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Hon. Olanipekun Boboye, Hon Adebayo Jackson, Hon. Ojo Fasasi and Asabo Ayodeji Victor as the Administrative Secretary.

The party charged all its “leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members in Ekiti State to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the party.”
