The permanent secretary, Special Duties and Parliamentary Security, National Assembly, Abuja, Prince Yomi Omogbehin, has applauded the launch of the Infinix flagship store at Jabi Lake Mall, describing it as a timely boost for youth empowerment, job creation, and technological advancement in the Federal Capital Territory.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of  Infinix GT 30 Pro, its first gaming flagship designed to deliver a true All-Day Full FPS System experience, built specifically for performance-driven users. It features a powerful processor, an advanced GPU for smooth gameplay, immersive graphics, and smart features tailored to gamers. “With the GT 30 Pro, we’re setting a new standard for mobile gaming, giving Nigerians a world-class device that’s powerful, stylish, and competitively priced,” Oluwayemisi Ode, integrated marketing communications & PR Manager, at Infinix Nigeria stated.

Speaking at the launch of the store on Sunday, the permanent secretary said the decision by Infinix, a global technology brand, to set up its flagship outlet in Abuja demonstrates the city’s growing importance as a hub for commerce and innovation.

“It is truly encouraging to see global brands like Infinix choosing Abuja as a home for their flagship store,” he said. “This investment speaks volumes about the city’s importance as a hub of commerce, innovation, and opportunity. More importantly, initiatives like this create jobs, empower young people, and open doors to new experiences in technology and entrepreneurship.”

He noted that the store would not only make advanced technology more accessible to residents but also inspire young Nigerians to pursue bigger dreams in the fast-growing digital economy. According to him, access to innovation is a vital driver of youth ambition and creativity.

The company’s retail manager, Bamidele Akande said the Infinix flagship store is designed as an experience hub to cater to tech savvy population. “The shop is equipped with various immersive zones that allows fans and customers to explore our latest innovations, interact with our smartphones, accessories, and experience the full Infinix AIoT ecosystem first-hand. We also have a gaming studio where our vibrant fans community can interact.” He also described it as a space where customers and fans can immerse themselves in the Infinix world.

“This flagship store is a big step for Infinix because it brings us closer to our customers in Abuja, right at the heart of the nation’s capital. Jabi Lake Mall was chosen because it’s a vibrant hub for lifestyle, technology, and entertainment, making it the perfect place to showcase our innovation and connect with the community,” the retail manager said.

The permanent secretary also urged young Nigerians to take advantage of platforms like the Infinix flagship store to sharpen their skills and gain exposure to global opportunities. “My message is simple: seize the opportunities around you. Technology is shaping every aspect of our world, and young Nigerians have the talent and creativity to lead in this space. With dedication and resilience, you can compete not just locally, but on the global stage,” he advised.

He emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the government and private sector in building a resilient economy that prioritizes the aspirations of young people. He explained that while government provides the enabling policies, the private sector brings in investment and expertise, creating a synergy that drives development.

“It is very important. Government provides the policies and enabling environment, while the private sector brings innovation, investment, and expertise. When both work hand-in-hand, we create opportunities that empower our youth, strengthen our economy, and inspire confidence in the future. Partnerships like this one with Infinix are a good example of how collaboration drives progress,” he added.

The launch featured appearances by top celebrities and influencers including Bisola Aiyeola, Kenny Blaq, Papeeyah, Saga Adeolu and MC Miti.
