A philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, has urged stakeholders to step up efforts to protect lives and property in Kogi State, stressing that security is a shared responsibility that demands urgent and decisive action.

He made the call in Abuja on Tuesday at the Kogi State Security Summit and Fundraising, where he announced a donation of ₦90 million to support initiatives aimed at strengthening security infrastructure and operations in the state.

Olusoji noted that lasting peace and sustainable development can only be achieved in a secure environment, urging both public and private sector actors to move beyond indifference and contribute actively to improving security.

The summit drew a wide range of prominent figures from across the country, including a representative of the Vice President, Africa’s leading industrialist Aliko Dangote, business magnate Dahiru Mangal, and key stakeholders from the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

Also in attendance were notable political leaders, including Senator Abdulaziz Yari; Edo State governor Monday Okpebholo; Borno State governor Babagana Zulum; former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello; Ekiti State governor Biodun Oyebanji, and the deputy governor of Kwara State, Kayode Alabi, among others.
