In a remarkable display of dedication to education and community development, a businessman and philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Dr Olatunji Olusoji, has made a groundbreaking promise to singlehandedly renovate all the schools and furnish them with modern facilities in Ayere community of Ijumu LGA of Kogi State.
He said not only will the schools receive much-needed renovations, but he also pledged to provide all the necessary furniture to ensure that the students have a conducive learning environment.
He disclosed this while speaking at 2025 Ayere Day at the weekend, where he served as the chairman of the occasion.
In a statement by his media team, the CEO of Grosvenor Group emphasised the importance of education in his own success, stating, “Education has helped me to be where I am today, and I am passionate about the educational development of our people.”
In addition to his commitment to education, Prince Olusoji also vowed to improve the road network in Ayere, ensuring that the community benefits from a well-maintained infrastructure.
He called for unity among Ayere people, highlighting the crucial role it plays in driving development and progress.
The chairman expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness, Oba (Engr.) Julius Olu Olumodeji III, the Alayere of Ayere Kingdom, for his leadership, and thanked the other royal fathers, led by HRM Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba, for their unwavering support and presence at the event.
