PICTORIAL: EFCC Deploys Operatives To Monitor FCT Area Council Elections

In its concerted effors to ensure electoral integrity and tackle voter’s inducement, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has deployed its operatives across the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to monitor the Saturday, February 21, 2026 polls.

Executive chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, charged the officers to ensure strict surveillance across all the council areas and prevent incidents of vote buying and other electoral malpractices.

A terse statement posted on the verified Facebook page of EFCC on Saturday said the officers were all over the FCT safeguarding the electoral processes to ensure transparency and accountable conducts.
