The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepts 12 cocaine consignments at Enugu airport: Augustine Justine Emeka, a businessman, was arrested with 797 pellets of cocaine weighing 17.6kg. He admitted the cocaine was for delivery to 12 people.
The agency also intercepted a fleeing suspect at Lagos airport: Onyejiuwa Prince Ifeanyi, who had been hiding since September following the seizure of a 20kg cannabis consignment linked to him, was arrested.
The NDLEA also disrupted a drug party at Katsina pre-wedding ceremony: 25 youths, including the groom, Musa Gwandi, were arrested for taking turns abusing drugs.
NDLEA seized large quantities of drugs in Anambra, Kaduna, Kogi, and Ondo: Chiemenam Akusoba and Chidinma Ibenwa were arrested with cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and cannabis sativa; Monday John, Maryam Adang, and Mohammed Lawal Musa were arrested with cannabis; Adamu Nuhu was arrested with tramadol, pentazocine injection, and diazepam; Taye Ali and Okon Peter were arrested with cannabis; and Nnabuke Christian was arrested with diazepam, tramadol, and pentazocine injection.
Also, the anti-narcotic agency arrested three suspects with over 81,000 tramadol pills in Borno: Mohammed Abubakar, Hassan Mohammed, and Suleman Hamidu were arrested in Response Area, Bayo town and Mubi town.
NDLEA seized 97kg cannabis in Ondo: Taye Ali and Okon Peter were arrested in the Kanisuru area.
In Abuja, the agency arrested a suspect with large quantities of drugs. Nnabuke Christian was arrested with large quantities of diazepam, tramadol, and pentazocine injection. He admitted the drugs were for onward supply to illegal miners in Kano State.
