PICTORIAL: Police Bury 4 Officers Killed By ISWAP Terrorists In Borno

The Borno State Police Command has laid to rest four gallant officers who paid the supreme price in the recent repelled terrorist attack in Nganzai local government area of the State.

The deceased officers were: Inspector Samuel Ezekiel of Nganzai Division, Inspector Sanusi Mohammed of 58 PMF Lafiya, Police Constable Bitrus Luka of Crack Squad BRS, and Police Constable Shaibu Bukar of Crack Squad BRS.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, which was obtained by LEADERSHIP on Sunday in Maiduguri, said the solemn funerals took place on Sunday at the Kawar Maila Burial Ground and the Maximum Prison Burial Ground, Maiduguri, respectively, in accordance with religious rites.

ASP Daso said in attendance included the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, the Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, ACP Jawi A. Mohammed, alongside other members of the Command’s management team.

He said the funeral rites were conducted by officers of the Command Chaplaincies, CSP Bukar M. Gajibo (Imam) and CSP Theophilus Mutum (Chaplain), who offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes.
