The director-general of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Prof. Ayo Omotayo, has expressed sorrow over the recent loss of lives following the violent attacks in parts of Jos, Plateau State.
NIPSS in a statement issued by the head of Public Affairs Department Dr Osime Samuel said the director-general extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Plateau State.
The DG commended the efforts of security agencies in restoring calm to the affected communities.
He noted that such tragic incidents underscore the urgent need to strengthen national unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and deepen dialogue across communities.
The statement urged residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security.
Prof. Omotayo further called on all stakeholders to work collectively towards preventing future occurrences and building a more cohesive and resilient society.
