Sony’s PlayStation Portal offers Nigerian gamers a new way to enjoy PlayStation 5 titles without occupying the main television. The handheld is built specifically for Remote Play, streaming games directly from a PS5 over Wi-Fi rather than running them independently.
It features an 8-inch 1080p LCD screen and retains the full DualSense experience, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
This gives it a more console-like feel than phone-and-controller setups. For gamers in shared homes, the Portal provides added flexibility and convenience.
Performance depends entirely on internet quality. Users with stable broadband connections report smooth gameplay, especially for sports and adventure titles, while weaker networks may struggle with lag.
The Portal is best viewed as an accessory, not a console replacement — designed for comfort, mobility and uninterrupted play within the home.
