Nigerian health technology firm, Plural Health (formerly known as Plateaumed), has introduced a suite of digital platforms aimed at delivering unified, patient-centered care across the continent.

This is even as the firm has reaffirmed its commitment in building a connected and intelligent healthcare ecosystem that makes healthcare smarter, more integrated, and accessible for all.

The chief executive officer of Plural Health, Dr. Dare Ladejobi, at the launch ceremony, in Lagos, remarked that Plural remains committed to its foundational mission to transform how care is delivered, financed, and experienced by patients and providers alike.

“As Plateaumed, we digitised over 1,000,000 patient encounters across 60+ facilities and supported more than 1,000 clinical staff. Now, as Plural, we are scaling that impact by building the digital rails that connect clinical management, insurance, payments, and patient engagement, so millions more can access the care they need,” Ladejobi added.

Ladejobi buttressed that the firm’s new identity reflects a more inclusive, systems-level approach to solving Africa’s healthcare challenges. “Rather than working in silos, the company’s interoperable platforms are designed to work together, supporting hospitals, health insurers, governments, and patients to streamline care, expand access, and improve health outcomes,” he said.

He revealed that Plural’s expanded suite of platforms includes the NeoEHR, Nigeria’s most intelligent electronic health record (EHR) platform that streamlines clinical workflows, patient records, and inventory, and integrates all forms of payment, including cash, transfers, and debit cards, into a unified user experience.

“The NeoInsure is a robust platform that manages large-scale health insurance schemes that enables digital enrollment, premium payments via USSD, web, or mobile, and automates claims processing to reduce fraud and improve efficiency.

While MyNeo is a mobile app that puts patients in control, users can schedule and view hospital appointments, access prescriptions, diagnoses, lab results, and care instructions, empowering them to take charge of their health with real-time information.

He alluded that Plural’s evolution comes at a critical time just as the government is pushing for universal health coverage with the healthcare systems under pressure, scalable digital solutions are essential. “From state-backed social insurance programs to private hospital networks, Plural is enabling real-time coordination across the care ecosystem,” he said.

The firm was recognised to have supported Nigeria’s COVID-19 response by collecting symptom data via USSD and powering symptom-triage tools using WhatsApp and IVR, demonstrating its ability to innovate at speed and scale. “Our vision is bold yet simple, we envision a future where high-quality healthcare is personal, intelligent, and accessible to everyone, everywhere,” Ladejobi said.
