The police prosecutor, Raji Akeem, an Assistant Inspector of Police, had informed Chief Magistrate O. Kushanu that the defendant was allegedly filmed slapping and punching the young boy while teaching him to write numerals.

Akeem also maintained that the offence violated Sections 135 and 172 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

LEADERSHIP reports that a viral video showing Nwadigo repeatedly slapping Abayomi while trying to teach him how to write the number six has sparked public outrage, resulting in widespread calls for justice.
