The suspects were arrested after thorough police investigation and tracking of their activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Adewale Ajao, said the Police Command conducted a thorough crime-mapping, identified crime hotspots and implemented an action plan which led to their arrests and other successes recorded between May and June, 2025.

He further explained that during the months under review, a total of 49 cases were reported, leading to the arrest of 82 suspects in total for various crimes by operatives of the FCT Police Command.

The police report also showed that five reported cases of attempted kidnapping – one in Apo and four in Kubwa – were recorded, while four vehicles, jack-knife, military camouflage and pistol ammunition were recovered in the process.
