Police Arrest 3 Brothers Over Killing ‘Motorcycle Thief’

Policemen attached with Birnin Kebbi Divisional Office in Kebbi State have arrested three blood brothers for killing one Abbas Abubakar aka Zabi who they suspected to have stolen their motorcycle, Haojue, known as Roba-Roba.

The police public relations officer, SP Abubakar Nafi’u who confirmed  this in a statement to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, yesterday, said the suspects, Abubakar Ahmed, Ubaidu Ahmed and Halilu Ahmed of the same father all in Badariya area in Birnin Kebbi metropolis went to residence of one Sanusi Abubakar  to fetch Abbas Abubakar.

On seeing Abubakar, they took him to their house, tied him up and beat him to coma; and later took him to DPO office in Birnin local government where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

Nafiu added that the suspects were later arrested and detained by the divisional police officer of Birnin Kebbi local government area.

According to him, on receiving the report he directed the DPO in the area to immediately transfer the case to SCID Birnin Kebbi for thorough investigation.
