Kebbi NLC Vows To Retrieve Illegal Deduction of Worker’s Salaries
BY KABIR WURMA, Birnin Kebbi
The leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Kebbi State has resolved to recover the Illegal deduction from the September salaries of the state’s civil servants.
The state’s NLC chairman, Comrade Murtala Usman, hinted of the plan when he addressed journalists in his office in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He said the state government was annoyed with the action, and the governor has directed the union to retrieve all the amounts deducted from the workers’ salaries in September.
“Our union has constituted a committee to investigate how this unsympathetic action was done and ensure the retrieval of the deduction made by the unpatriotic officials,” Comrade Usman said.
“We are expected to retrieve about N14 million from the Illegal deduction,” he added.
The chairman, however, urged the affected workers to exercise patience as the leadership of the union would do the needful.
