Spokesman of the Police Command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa disclosed this in a statement, stating that the arrest followed a report received on August 11, 2025, from a resident of Dorawa Quarters in Kano.

According to the report, an unidentified man approached the complainant’s shop under the pretext of buying a motorcycle but while taking a Lifan Hajoe model motorcycle for a test ride, the suspect fled with it.

Kiyawa said operatives immediately launched an intelligence-led operation, leading to the arrest of the suspect who was identified as 45-year-old Dahiru Jibrin of Hotoro Quarters, Kano.

The stolen motorcycle was also recovered during the operation.
