The Commissioner of Police in Taraba State, CP Morkwap Sebastian Dongshal, has ordered the strategic deployment of police personnel to all the designated Computer Based Test (CBT) centres and adjoining areas to ensure full security coverage for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

The directive, according to the CP was aimed at guaranteeing a peaceful and hitch-free exercise before, during and after the examination period.

In a statement issued by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Victor Mshelizah, said the deployment would be complemented by intensive patrols, intelligence driven surveillance, and traffic control measures to prevent any form of disruption around examination venues.

The Command warned that any individual or group attempting to engage in examination malpractice, impersonation, disorderly conduct or other unlawful activities would be dealt with in accordance with the law.

It also advised parents and guardians to guide their wards to be law-abiding and comply strictly with examination guidelines, and urged candidates to conduct themselves in an orderly manner throughout the exercise.

He reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of lives and property, and called on residents to report any suspicious movement or activity to the nearest police formation.

The police assured that adequate measures have been put in place to provide a secure and conducive environment for the successful conduct of the examination across Taraba State.
