Police Deploy Drones In Adamawa Govt House, Inauguration Venue

The Adamawa State command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has deployed highly efficient drones for aerial surveillance around government house and Ribadu Square, venue of today’s inauguration.

The command also deployed operational vehicles serviceable (APCs) to man strategic places around the state capital.

The command also consolidated synergy with sister security agencies, according to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Image maker in a statement made available to  journalists.

The commissioner of police, CP Afolabi Babatola had mobilised the command’s operatives to provide a comprehensive security arrangement.

He said adequate personnel have been detailed to protect all places of events, VIPs, hotels amongst others.

“The operational assets of the command have equally been deployed to man the entry and exit points of the State capital city, Jimeta, and other critical government installations.

“Amongst these operatives are men drawn from, Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Special Protection Unit (SPU), Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT), Anti Bomb Squad (ATB), SIB- State Intelligence Bureau, , NPF Medical, NPF Mounted Troops, and K9, among others,” the commissioner stated.

He revealed that during the event, anti-bomb experts will be taking rigorous safety measurements on persons entering the venue, which include screenings and searching, this exercise will be done in collaboration with the protocol sub-committee of the Inauguration committee to have seamless traffic free flow.
