The commissioner of Police in Kebbi State, CP Bello Sani, has presented N33.8 million to 50 families of police officers who died in active service.

Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries at the headquarters of the command at Gwadangaji in Birnin Kebbi, CP Bello said the disbursement is part of the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare schemes aimed at supporting the families of officers who paid the ultimate price in their line of duty.

He commended IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun for his continuous support towards improving the welfare of police officers and their families.

He urged the beneficiaries to utilise the funds wisely by investing in ventures that will benefit their families.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sonnen Simeon expressed their gratitude to the IGP and the CP for the gesture.
