Police Present N45m Cheques To Deceased Officers’ Families

Kebbi State commissioner of police, Chris Aimiono Wane, has presented a claim Settlement Group life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes Cheques amounting N45.245 million to 10 families of police officers, who died in active service.

The cheques were presented at the police command headquarters in Gwadangaji in Birnin Kebbi metropolis to the beneficiaries.

Wane charged them not to use the money for the benefit of the families left behind by the officers

He said the gesture is part of the IGP’s efforts to sympathise  with the families of the deceased and also to upkeep their  day- to-day life challenges.

The CP however prayed for the gentle souls of the deceased officers to have an eternal rest and give their families fortitude to bear the loss.

A beneficiary, Lawal Mohammed who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed his joy and appreciated the IGP’S gesture.

 

He also thanked the CP for judicious presentations of the funds to the benefitting Family members which according to him, was done accordingly.
